I gathered ingredients from autumn, wilting and ready.
Petals are rarely ‘trashed’ in my universe. Even before they are composted, they become something else that is beautiful.

This crimson-pink-orange palette even tastes like late September. So to the land we went! I found the perfect spot, a little shrine of grass open to the sky yet hidden amongst the woods.

All of my “nature grids” are inspired by the floral carpet of South India, though I don’t aim for complex geometry. I keep it simple, slightly organic and imperfect, honoring the true nature of reality on Earth.
Dasha the hound seemed to agree, We’re perfectly imperfect. Sweetly, she sat by the design and protected it, not even coming to follow me as I left with the empty basket in my arm.

Dogs always sense good vibes.
