Remembering Grand Time Spiral For the Wild

Remembering Grand Time ~ a poem for For the Wild

Spiral medicine is my current pathway.

It started many years ago as I collected shells on the beach, and found myself surprisingly attached to these fragments of corkscrews. And it continued as I discovered the spiral is a portal, and I might be able to travel through it forever and still never know all there is to know within the spiral.

For spirals are neverending.

So when I received the news my poem, “Remembering Grand Time” was published in For the Wild’s zine, Spiral, well…

Perfect, I knew.

I wrote this poem hands-deep in the garden, remembering vividly how time is not a thing or an abstraction. A force, perhaps.

🐚 More respectfully, Time is a being, just like us.

🐍 Feeding Time is one of the holiest of holy prerogatives.
